Urban G – Hawaii Portrait Photographer
Posted on August 30, 2009
When I saw G around the neighborhood, I thought to myself, "She should model!" As she is a friend’s daughter, I thought I’d ask if I could steal her away for a morning so we could go to town and play. We had a blast!

Howdy! I mean Aloha! – Hawaii Family Photographer
Posted on August 28, 2009
Kelly and family are visiting Hawaii from their native Texas. They used to live here and wanted to make sure that they got beach pictures done while they were here this time. I’m so glad they chose me!

They were so adventurous for me! I said, "Hey, why don’t you go out there on that rock?" and they said, "Sure!"

As we were shooting, we saw a paddle club go by. Just had to shoot a picture!

What is a sunset photo session without some fun silhouettes?

As soon as I saw the boots, I HAD to get this shot!

Thank you, Kelly, for asking me to do your family portraits! I had a great time!

Ugly Angels Homecoming- Hawaii Family Photographer
Posted on August 19, 2009
When I was contacted to do this homecoming, my heart just sang. This little guy had yet to meet his Daddy, as he left just days before he was born! Having been in a similar situation just two short years ago, my heart went out to the family. I wanted to capture those special moments of Daddy meeting son. I am so happy to have been a part of the Weaver family’s joyous day!
Can you believe those eyes with those GORGEOUS eyelashes?!

Thank you for a wonderful morning!

Bella Isabella- Hawaii Child Photographer

This little girl was adorable with her big brown eyes and curly hair!

She was a little reticent at first, but warmed up pretty quickly.

Isabella had never been to the beach before so the feeling of sand in her toes was very new!

Experiments in Long Exposure- Hawaii Landscape Photographer
Posted on August 6, 2009
One of the most interesting forms of photography, to me, is the art of Long Exposure. This is defined as any image that is exposed for longer than 5 seconds. You have to wait until the sun is already down or there will be too much light. It is amazing what the camera sees that the human eye cannot!

The image below was taken in what, to my eye, seemed nearly complete darkness!

I love how the long exposure makes the water look like mist.

What a sweet baby girl! A friend of mine and I were privileged to meet this little one this morning. At 3 weeks old, she still sleeps A LOT!

This is my fave. She was so content to pose for us!

Thank you, Marie, for being up for our playing around with your sweet baby!
