Moving to Hawaii has been the most amazing experience of my life. The incredible landscapes have shown me so much, not only in their beauty but about myself. I found that losing myself in their shadows gave me peace – and inspiration. Inspiration to follow that little nudge that has always been there but never realized. Photography was always a hobby, but it quickly became a necessity. It was a way to escape the craziness of my life while savoring those moments you only get in nature. The mornings I spend in the quiet of sunrise, the days hiking through the awe inspiring jungles, and the sunsets at the beach have given me a peace I want to share with the world. Peace – At Last.

Being a mother and a military wife, I naturally wanted to take pictures of my two beautiful daughters to send to family. Taking pictures of landscapes gave me the knowledge of how to use my camera, but I credit my daughters with teaching me how to take pictures of children. With their abundant energy, they are not easy little girls to photograph! However, I love that I have captured so much of their lives and love sharing my gift with other families, as well. Along this journey, I have found that times of transition, of becoming, are my favourite times to photograph. From a mother waiting to meet her newborn babe to a couple proclaiming their love to the world, these times all have one thing in common. Joy – At Last.
